Phage Refinery co-founders Dr. Phil Serwer and Dr. Jim Chambers had their recent research featured in a news article from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Entitled “A naturally occurring alternative to antibiotics?“, it highlights their work in determining bacteriophage persistence as well as safely removing potential pathogens from phage samples. Their research efforts were supported in part by a grant from the San Antonio Medical Foundation, and is a key component of the technology portfolio powering Phage Refinery. These discoveries themselves build on Dr. Serwer’s previous work supported by The Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation.
